Richmond City Council Office of Inspector General staff receive 2024 United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Virginia - Richmond Division Public Service Awards

 

Investigations Mgr. Craig Johnson & Investigator Michael Chodorov cited

 

(Richmond, Virginia U.S.A. 10.8.2024) Richmond City Council congratulates Richmond City Council Office of Inspector General staff, Craig Johnson, Investigations Manager, and Michael Chodorov, Investigator, for recently receiving 2024 United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Virginia - Richmond Division Public Service Awards.

 

As members of the Richmond City Council Office of Inspector General staff, Craig Johnson Michael Chodorov were recognized for their work in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Virginia - Richmond Division that resulted in a successful case.

 

Both were cited by the United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Virginia Richmond Division for their “encyclopedic knowledge of the City of Richmond and their sharp instincts to pinpoint critical evidence dispersed through City Government”.

 

As staff of the Richmond City Council Office of Inspector General, both Craig Johnson and Michael Chodorov serve in helping detect and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse, and to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the programs and operations of the City of Richmond Government through independent and objective investigations, inspections, and assistance.

 

Richmond City Council strives to ensure that city resources are used in an efficient and effective manner and thanks Inspector General James Osuna, Craig Johnson, Investigations Manager, and Michael Chodorov, Investigator, for their ongoing dedication, rigor, and hard work on behalf of our city.
