Councilwoman Ellen F. Robertson supports Fathers, Hillside Sports Team, Second Baptist Church, and Brazilian Soccer Players
WHAT (Richmond, Virginia) -- The Honorable Ellen F. Robertson, Councilwoman, Richmond City Council, Gateway 6th District, supports Fathers, Hillside Sports Team, Second Baptist Church and Brazilian Soccer Players.
Second Baptist is currently hosting a team of 15 Brazilian soccer players, coaches and pastors. The team is doing religious outreach in Richmond by offering soccer clinics, and during the clinics, having times of religious worship, testimonies and evangelism. The project is in partnership with the Virginia Baptist Mission Board and the soccer players have been coming to Virginia every summer for the past 15 years. They stay for four to six weeks traveling around to different communities and being hosted by different churches, to run camps and do religious outreach.
