City Leaders express profound sorrow following the sudden and tragic death of William J. Martin, Director of The Valentine Museum.

The Valentine Museum became a well-known and respected institution that
educated and inspired countless visitors. This is an immeasurable loss for our
City. On behalf of Richmond City Council, we extend our deepest sympathies to
his family and the entire Valentine Museum community.”
