COUNCIL PUBLIC INFORMATION NEWS ADVISORY
IMMEDIATE RELEASE TO BE FORWARDED AND SHARED
Friday, 14 June 2013
A statement by
The Honorable Parker C. Agelasto
Councilman, Richmond City Council Central 5th Voter District
Regarding the tragic death of 4-year old Shawn Wills at Maymont
(Richmond, Virginia U.S.A.) – ""Like so many others, I am deeply saddened by the loss of life resulting from yesterday's severe storms that came through our city. My thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt sorrow go out to the family of 4-year old Shawn Wills of Chesterfield County. All death is tragic, but none is more so than losing the life of an innocent child. My heart breaks for the parents, particularly for the father who was injured while protecting his son. During this difficult time, I hope his family will draw on their personal strength and the strength and faith of their friends and community. I ask that everyone keep this family in their thoughts and prayers.
As Richmond City Council's appointed representative to the Maymont Foundation, I will assist in any way to ensure that Maymont continues to be the safe and accessible asset that so many residents and visitors have come to enjoy."
