Councilwoman Ellen F. Robertson invites families to attend the 2013 Richmond Northside WE CARE Festival
Fun-filled family event that is free and open to the public
WHAT (Richmond, Virginia U.S.A.) -- The Honorable Ellen F. Robertson, Councilwoman, Richmond City Council Gateway 6th Voter District, invites Richmond residents to attend the 2013 Richmond Northside WE CARE Festival, which will be located in the Richmond Gateway 6th Voter District.
Celebrating its seventh successful year, the Richmond Northside WE CARE Festival was established to help foster positive community relationships and celebrate all the good things in our city. This is a fun-filled family event that is free and open to the public and all residents are invited and encouraged to attend. The expected attendance of this outdoor festival is estimated to be 1,500 individuals, ranging from toddlers to seniors.
The Richmond Northside WE CARE Festival (Note: WE CARE is an acronym for Wellness, Education, Community Awareness and Resident Empowerment) is a partnership event produced by the following: Fifth Street Baptist Church; First African Baptist Church; Guardian Angels, Richmond Virginia; The Honorable Ellen F. Robertson, Councilwoman, Richmond City Council Gateway 6th Voter District; Capital Area Health Network; Boaz and Ruth; Fresh Anointing Cathedral; Northside Coalition for Children; and, First Union Baptist Church.
The event will include (but is not limited to) the following:
• Health, wellness and educational information
• Community exhibits
• Food vendors
• Carnival games
• Inflatable moonwalks
• Basketball
• Free prizes
• Music
• Entertainment
