Councilman Parker C. Agelasto invites all to join him in Woodland Heights and Forest Hill Neighborhoods Cleanups
Part of Day to Serve events
WHAT (Richmond, Virginia U.S.A.) -- The Honorable Parker C. Agelasto, Councilman, Richmond City Council, Central 5th Voter District, is holding cleanup projects for the Woodland Heights and Forest Hill Neighborhoods this Saturday.
Councilman Agelasto invites all residents and interested community groups, businesses, families, friends, neighbors, individuals and organizations to come out to pick up trash and debris to help clean up the community.
The two cleanup projects being held in the Woodland Heights and Forest Hill Neighborhoods will focus on the following areas:
• Reedy Creek upstream from the lake
• Lake banks and lower Reedy Creek south or downstream of the spillway bridge.
Volunteers are reminded to please wear layered clothing, sturdy shoes and work gloves. Trash bags will be provided.
These events are part of Day to Serve, an annual event that unites people of all faiths, races, cultures, and backgrounds with the shared goal of helping those in need and improving the communities where they live. Day to Serve runs from September 15-29, 2013. It began in 2012 as collaboration between the governors of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the Mayor of Washington D. C.
