Remembering
the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Richmond, Virginia U.S.A. -
"We stand united in remembering the powerful words, works, dedication, and
dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the 50th anniversary of his assassination
today.
In commemorating his
life and legacy, we celebrate him as a national treasure and praise his
commitment to the civil and human rights of all Americans, for which he gave
the last full measure of his devotion.
Transcending the
human experience, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. continues to be an inspiration,
hero, and symbol of hope for civilization and the world."
