Richmond City Council
Regarding the passing of former Richmond Fire Marshal, David C. Creasy, Sr.
Richmond,
Virginia U.S.A. - "It is with deep and profound sadness that members of Richmond
City Council learned of the passing of former
Richmond Fire Marshal, David C. Creasy,
Sr., on Monday, October 15, 2018.
A dedicated member of our region's fire and
emergency services personnel for five decades, Fire Marshal Creasy was well
known for his commitment and many years of service on behalf of the life and
safety of residents. His work included most recently serving as Richmond Fire
Marshal for the Richmond Department of Fire and Emergency Services, from 2008
to 2017.
Our hearts and prayers go out to his personal
family and to his extended fire and emergency services family during this
difficult time, as we share in mourning his passing and in honoring and
remembering his life, contributions, and legacy.
Richmond City Council and Richmond Residents
join together in recognizing and honoring Fire
Marshal David C. Creasy, Sr. for
his lifetime dedicated to protecting lives, families, property, and the
environment.

Marshal David C. Creasy, Sr. helped
to
make our city and region even better and safer places to live, work, learn,
love, visit, and raise a family and for that we shall be eternally grateful. "
