A statement from Richmond City Council
Regarding
the passing of
Representative
A. Donald McEachin
Richmond, Virginia – “Richmond City Council joins all Richmond residents, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and our nation in mourning the passing and celebrating the life, leadership, and legacy of Representative A. Donald McEachin. U.S. House of Representatives, Virginia 4th Congressional Voter District.
Richmond City Council members, and staff, extend their heartfelt and sincere condolences to his wife, Colette McEachin, his daughters, and the entire McEachin Family.
A dedicated servant leader, Rep. McEachin
was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1996 to 2002 and 2006 to
2008, a member of the Senate of Virginia from 2008 to 2016, and was preparing
to serve a fourth term as a member of the U. S. House of Representatives.
During his life, Rep. McEachin was well known for his devotion and commitment on behalf of Virginians and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and all those who knew, loved, and cared about him.
Richmond City Council members will miss him
and his many years of friendship and advocacy on behalf of all Richmonders.”
