will be one of four person selected to throw the first pitch to celebrate the opening day of the 2010 Metropolitan Junior Baseball League Season. The Metropolitan Junior Baseball League is a national baseball organization established for African-American youth up to 19 years old. The organization was formed in 1966 in Richmond Virginia and its teams across the United States of America compete annually for the national Black World Series championship title competition.
The Metropolitan Junior Baseball League is supported by the national RBI (Returning Baseball to Inner-Cities) program, KPMG (accounting Firm); Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation; and the SOLE (Sports, Opportunities, Literacy and Enrichment) group, a local consortium of public and private entities.
