Richmond, Virginia U.S.A. - "It is with deep and profound sadness that members of Richmond City Council learned of the passing of former Richmond Fire Marshal, David C. Creasy, Sr., on Monday, October 15, 2018.

A dedicated member of our region's fire and emergency services personnel for five decades, Fire Marshal Creasy was well known for his commitment and many years of service on behalf of the life and safety of residents. His work included most recently serving as Richmond Fire Marshal for the Richmond Department of Fire and Emergency Services, from 2008 to 2017.

Fire Marshal David C. Creasy, Sr. helped to make our city and region even better and safer places to live, work, learn, love, visit, and raise a family and for that we shall be eternally grateful. "
