Part of a regular meeting of the Richmond City Council Governmental Operations Standing Committee, attendance of the Richmond Personnel Board will be to provide a routine presentation as requested of all Richmond City Council Boards and Commissions and City Administration Departments that fall under the purview of the Richmond City Council Governmental Operations Standing Committee. There also will be a presentation by the Richmond Department of Human Resources. This opportunity will provide for Committee discussion and questions, which will include those regarding City Employee Vacancy and Turn-Over Reports for the second half of Fiscal Year 2013. The Richmond Personnel Board serves as a hearing panel for appeals of grievances filed by City employees in the classified service pursuant to City procedures, in compliance with Section 15.1-7.2 of the Virginia Code of Laws (Code of Virginia) (1950), as amended. The Board also reviews and holds public hearings on proposed city government personnel rules and makes comments and recommendations relating to such.
