Councilwoman Newbille invites families to register 6th-8th graders for a New Free 2011 Richmond East End Basketball Academy being held August 10-12, 2011

Registration required: Limited to 40 boys and 40 girls

WHAT (Richmond, Virginia) -- The Honorable Cynthia I. Newbille, Councilwoman, Richmond City Council, East End 7th District, invites families to register their 6th-through 8th graders for the new 2011 Richmond East End Basketball Academy, being held at the Peter Paul Development Center Wednesday, August 10 to Friday, August 12, 2011.

This Academy is free and open to the public and each student will receive free meals, snacks, expert instruction and an official Academy t-shirt.

Registration is being held on a first-come/first-served basis on Monday, August 8 and Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Peter Paul Development Center, located at 1708 North 22nd Street in Richmond, Virginia.

The Academy is limited to 40 girls and 40 boys and will include the following schedules:

Girls Academy Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Boys Academy Schedule: 12:30 p.m. -4:00 p.m.

The 2011 Richmond East End Basketball Academy is being sponsored by Bon Secours, YMCA of Greater Richmond, Peter Paul Development Center and Richmond City Council.

Monday, August 8 and Tuesday, August 9, 2011
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - at the Peter Paul Development Center;
1708 North 22nd Street, Richmond, Virginia

Academy to be held Wednesday, August 10 through Friday, August 12, 2011
Girls Academy Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Boys Academy Schedule: 12:30 p.m. -4:00 p.m.
