Councilwoman Robertson encourages residents to attend upcoming 2011 Richmond Better Housing Coalition Renovation Lending Workshop

Workshop is free and all residents are invited and encouraged to attend

WHAT The Honorable Ellen F. Robertson, Councilwoman, Richmond City Council, Gateway 6th District, encourages Richmond Residents to attend the upcoming 2011 Richmond Better Housing Coalition Center for Neighborhood Revitalization Renovation Lending Workshop being held on Wednesday. The workshop is free and all residents are invited and encouraged to attend.

The workshop will provide information on the financial tools needed for the renovation of an old house in a Richmond neighborhood and include:

• Benefits of renovation lending
• How to buy a home in disrepair and fix it up
• Renovation Lending Programs
• How to Qualify for a Mortgage
• Home mortgage financing (including loan programs, credit, cash required, cash sources, etc
• Tax benefits
• Energy Efficiency
• Market Equity
