Legislation regarding monuments and Larus Park to be continued

(Richmond, Virginia U.S.A.) - Two pieces of Richmond City Council legislation, Ordinance No. 2017-087, regarding a contract with Chesterfield and the construction of water facilities on Larus Park, and Resolution No. 2017-R075, regarding authority to remove monuments on Monument Avenue granted by Virginia General Assembly, that were scheduled to be discussed today during the Richmond City Council Land Use, Housing, and Transportation Standing Committee, will not be heard today and will be continued to another date.

All Richmond South Central 9th Voter District residents invited to attend

WHAT          (Richmond, Virginia U.S.A.) – The Honorable Michael J. Jones, Richmond City Council, Richmond South Central 9th Voter District, invites all 9th District seniors (55 and older) and caregivers to attend a 9th District Senior Fair. This event is free and open to the public and will feature the following:

·         Tips on healthy living

Members sought for New Richmond City Council Ethics Reform Task Force

Interested individuals invited and encouraged to apply

(Richmond, Virginia U.S.A.) – Richmond City Council invites and encourages interested persons to apply to serve on newly established Richmond City Council Ethics Reform Task Force.

      The task force shall consist of 11 members. Council shall appoint nine members, and the Mayor shall appoint two members. The membership of the task force should possess experience and expertise concerning ethical standards in both the public sector and the private sector and concerning areas, such as human resources and procurement, that may be relevant to the consideration of appropriate ethical standards for a governmental organization.
